Moscow, SANA- National Security Advisor at the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, Major General Ali Mamlouk discussed in separate meetings bilateral relations with representatives of Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman and Iraq for the 12th International Meeting of High Ranking Officials Responsible for Security Matters held in the Russian city of St. Petersburg.
During his meeting with the head of the National Intelligence Service in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Lieutenant General Adel bin Khalifa Al-Fadil, Mamlouk expressed Syria’s appreciation for the Kingdom and its keenness to enhance cooperation and communication with the brothers in Bahrain.
In turn, Lieutenant General Adel praised the fraternal relations based on respect between the two brotherly countries.
In a similar meeting with the head of the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation, Assistant Secretary-General of the National Security Council, Humayr al-Busaidi, Mamlouk praised the history and civilization of the Sultanate of Oman, stressing the importance of the role it plays in the region.
In turn, Al-Busaidi stressed Syria’s position in the heart of the Arab nation.
In a related context, Mamlouk reviewed with the National Security Advisor in Iraq, Qasim Al-Araji, issues of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in light of the developments and transformations the region is witnessing, as he stressed the importance of continuous consultation and coordination between the two brotherly countries to confront common challenges in the region.
For his part, Al-Araji expressed Iraq’s desire to enhance cooperation and coordination with Syria in various fields, especially security issues and files of common interest, considering that Syria’s strength and stability is a guarantee of Iraq’s national security.
