A joint Syrian-Russian drills at naval base in Tartous

Tartous-SANA- Within the framework of joint cooperation and coordination between the Syrian Arab Army and the friendly Russian forces operating in Syria, and in the presence of General Abdul Karim Mahmoud Ibrahim, Chief of the General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces, and General Sergey Kisel, Commander of the Russian forces operating in Syria, drills were held today at one of the maritime bases in Tartous by the Syrian and Russian naval forces.

The drills mimic real combat conditions in defense against potential dangers such as exposure to terrorist attack or infiltration by sea or land.

General Ibrahim listened to an explanation of cooperation mechanisms, work stages, and planned methods for successfully implementing tasks.

The drills included shooting and airdrop by the participating units behind supposed terrorist groups, along with drills by maritime forces.
