Beijing, SANA-China said that an immediate cease-fire in Gaza Strip had become an international demand that meets an overwhelming consensus of the international community, Xinhua reported.
“The escalation in Gaza has resulted in the devastating humanitarian situation there, nearly 30,000 Palestinian civilians were killed and about 1.9 million people were displaced, an immediate ceasefire is the prevailing call and overwhelming consensus of the international community,” Mao Ning, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said in a weekly press conference.
She added that the US should lend an ear and take concrete actions to play a constructive role for the ceasefire and de-escalation of the humanitarian crisis.
