Damascus, SANA- Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan al-Ghabbash, discussed with Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation in Syria, Stephan Sakalian, means to enhance cooperation and coordination in the health field.
Minister Al-Ghabbash said during the meeting on Wednesday that the committee is an essential partner for the health sector, especially during the Corona pandemic and the earthquake disaster, as it provided large amounts of humanitarian and medical aid, stressing the need to strengthen joint cooperation with the committee to determine goals and priorities to manage resources optimally and secure basic needs.
For his part, head of the mission, Sakalian, expressed his will to strengthen and activate the committee’s role in providing aid and services, in addition to supporting the partnership with the health sector, pointing out the importance of strategic coordination for the coming years and developing health plans.
