Syrian boxing player withdraws from a competition in Asian Games over Zionist referee

Hangzhou, SANA- Syrian national boxing team player Muhammad Melis withdrew from facing Bahraini boxer Danis Laptov in the 19th Asian Games held in China, refusing to go up to the wrestling ring due to the presence of a referee from the Zionist entity to arbitrate the fight.

The coach, Mohamed Ghosoun, submitted an objection to the referees’ committee, but the insistence on referee identity remaining the same prompted Melis not to get into the wrestling ring, and the referee announced the Bahraini Laptov as the winner.

Member of the International Commiteee of Governors of the International Boxing Federation Kamel Shabib said that the International Federation always stresses that no referee shall be appointed to judge in any international session of a hostile or friendly State from neighborhood.
