National Earthquake Center: 12 tremors reported over 24 past hours

Damascus, SANA- The National Earthquake Center announced Thursday that 12 weak tremors were reported over the past 24 hours.

The center said in a statement that the stations of National Seismological Network recorded a quake, about 40km northwest of Lattakia, measuring 1.9 degree on the Richter Scale, and two others, one of them, 6km northeast of Hama, measuring 3.1and the other one 10km northeast of Hama measuring 2.1.

The center added that four shakes have been reported in Liwa Iskenderun area ranged between 2.2 and 2.6, in addition to four tremors in Turkey one of which measuring 4.1, and a tremors in the Mediterranean Sea, measuring 4.8 degrees.

The center added that tremors were occurred in different depth, reaching at 35.8km.
