A Syrian Oud player wins second place in the Oud Festival competition in Riyadh

Damascus,SANA- The Syrian oud player Kinan Adnawi won second place in the Oud Festival competition in Saudi Arabia, which was held for three days by General Entertainment Authority in cooperation with the Music Commission in the largest Arab gathering of oud players.

The festival includes competitions for amateurs and professionals’ musicians, with participation of 10 musicians from each category.

The festival included an exhibition of rare ouds from all over the world and another exhibition of the most famous oud manufacturers in the world, in addition to discussion sessions on the origins of playing the oud.
