National Vaccination Days Campaign launched, Health Ministry says

Damascus, SANA- Health Ministry launched Sunday the National Vaccination Days Campaign to follow up on children who have not got the vaccination up to 5 years old, and it will last until March 16^th.

‘The campaign is implemented in 968 health centers and 63 updated ones and through mobile teams’, according to Director of Primary HealthCare at the Ministry, Dr. Razan Tarabishi

 Dr. Tarabishi noted that the campaign aims to assess the vaccination status of about 2,800,000 children in various provinces.

She added the national vaccination program in Syria aims at reducing death rates for U-five year-children through systematic vaccination that protect them from diseases, as the ministry has exerted efforts to secure the best vaccines available in the world and provide them at all health centers and also the mobile teams for free

The campaign in Damascus targets about 4,400 children, and in Damascus countryside it targets 20,113 children, -Head of Damascus Health department, Muhammad Samer Shahrour said.
