Damascus countryside, SANA-The Russian Coordination Center in Syria provided food aid to the affected from the quake-hit governorates. who came to Zabadani city in Damascus countryside.
The Russian aid was distributed in the Church of Dormition of the Virgin Mary.
Deputy head of the Russian Coordination Center in Syrua, Major General Oleg Egorov, affirmed in a statement to SANA reporter that this aid is a donation from the Russian military in Syria, pointing out that part of it was also sent to the governorates affected by the earthquake.
Egorov affirmed the depth of relations between the Russian and Syrian peoples.
For his part, Archimandrite Ibrahim Daoud, the parish priest in Zabadani and the Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, valued Russia’s support it provides to confront the repercussions of the earthquake catastrophe.
