Czech-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions affirms solidarity with Syria

Prague, SANA- Member of the External Affairs Committee at the Confederation Martin Beach, affirmed the solidarity of trade unions in Czechia with Syria and its rejection of the continuation of the unilateral Western sanctions imposed on it.

In a statement to SANA’s correspondent in Prague Wednesday, Beach offered his deepest condolences to Syria and the families of the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck it on Monday, stressing that the stance of the Czech progressive trade unions does not change, which is to demand an end to all kinds of inhumane pressures exerted against Syria and to demand assistance for the Syrian people afflicted by the earthquake.

Beach called on the Czech government to send aid to Syria to support it in these difficult conditions it is facing.
