Aleppo, SANA- Aleppo Governor Hussein Diab said that upon directives of President Bashar al-Assad, all teams and capabilities of the civil defense, firefighting, health, public construction companies and their branches, and all service institutions in Aleppo province have been mobilized to continue operations of removing rubble and attending the injured.
Diab said in a statement to the Syrian Channel that 60 deaths, 270 injuries and 40 buildings were collapsed as a result of the earthquake, noting that this tally is not final and that rescue operations are continuing throughout Aleppo city to secure the needs of all citizens.
Diab noted that a meeting was held with the Relief Committee to secure relief items and shelters for citizens whose houses were collapsed, as about 125 houses were secured in Hanano city, and all affected citizens will be secured in several other areas.
Diab pointed out that the governorate has formed an operating room and all police and military units are ready around the clock to receive distress calls through the emergency committee in province.
