Cuba, Algeria condemn riots in Brazil  

Havana, Algiers, SANA- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has renewed his support and solidarity with the Brazilian leadership, headed by President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, in the face of the violence and riots that took place in Brazil.

The Cuban presidency website stated that President Canel had a phone call with his counterpart da Silva, during which he affirmed solidarity with him and with the Brazilian people.

In the same context, Algeria expressed strong condemnation of the attack on state institutions in Brazil, stressing rejection of all actions that would create chaos and destabilize in this country.

“Algeria expresses confidence that the Brazilian people are able to overcome this ordeal peacefully, and affirms its support for legitimate institutions,” a statement by Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad said.
