Tehran, SANA-A media delegation headed by Ahmad Dhawa, Assistant Minister of Information, discussed on Wednesday with Ali Karimian, Secretary General of the Islamic Radio and Television Union, in Tehran, the media relations between Syria and Iran and means of developing them to serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples.
During the meeting, Dhawa presented the mechanisms of cooperation between the Syrian and Iranian media, and proposed new initiatives for enhancing joint work.
For his part, Karimian noted the significant role of the Syrian media in confronting misleading campaigns during the terrorist war that Syria was subjected to.
In a related context, the media delegation discussed also with the Director General of IRNA, Ali Naderi, the mechanisms of cooperation between the Syrian and Iranian media, and ways to enhance joint work between them, particularly cooperation between SANA and IRNA, in addition to cooperation in the technical field, news and training exchange, and in the field of media training.
Dhawa pointed to the importance of training on new media methods, calling for strengthening bilateral media cooperation to confront Western media campaigns against both countries and peoples.
