Mikdad, Shaaban offer condolences on demise of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin

Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad and Special Adviser at the Presidency of the Republic, Buthaina Shaaban offered condolences on the demise of former Chinese president Jiang Zemin at the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Damascus.

Mikdad wrote a few words in the condolence book, in which he conveyed his sincere condolences to the Chinese people and their leadership on the demise of President Zemin.

“President Zemin’s death is a great loss, not only for the Chinese and Syrian peoples, but for everyone in the world.” Mikdad said in a statement.

He highlighted the late’s efforts to solve the problems facing the world today, as well as his achievements in terms of domestic reforms, progress and the current development that China is witnessing.

Minister Mikdad noted that the late President made great efforts to deepen relations between Syria and China, and was a wise leader and representative of the largest peoples in the world.

For her part, Special Adviser at the Presidency of the Republic, Buthaina Shaaban offered her condolences and wrote a few words in the book of condolences, in which she expressed her deep condolences for the late president, who made tremendous efforts for the honor and dignity of the People’s Republic of China and to achieve a better future for all humanity.
