Abdollahian: Any Turkish military action on Syrian border will further complicate the situation

Tehran, SANA- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed that any Turkish military action on the Syrian borders will lead to escalate tension and further complicate the situation.

Abdollahian said, in a phone call with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu held on Tuesday, that resorting to ground military operations will lead to escalate tension; and cause damage and losses that will further complicate the situation.

Deputy Permanent Representative of Syria at the UN, al-Hakam Dandi, said, in a UN Security Council session on Syria, that Syria condemns with the strongest terms theTurkish aggression on Syrian territories, adding that the pretexts marketed by the Turkish regime to justify its attacks on Syrian territories are no longer tricking anyone, particularly in light of its persistence to back terrorist organizations and to sponsor “Daesh” and “Jabhat al-Nusra.
