Astana, SANA – The guarantor states of the 19th international Meeting on Syria in the Astana Format condemned on Wednesday the terrorist organizations aggressions and attacks in Syria, stressed the need to continue combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
The guarantor states expressed, in the concluding statement, their rejection of all separatist agendas, stressed that security and stability in northeastern Syria can only be achieved through preserving Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The statement condemned terrorist organizations’ sponsor states practices and the separatist groups and the looting of Syrian oil whose revenues should return to the Syrian people.
The guarantor states slammed in their statement the repeated Israeli aggressions as violation of international law and of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity
The guarantor states expressed their full rejection of the coercive economic measures that contradict international law and the United Nations charter and stressed the necessity to lifting them and increasing humanitarian aid to all Syrians without discrimination, politicization and preconditions.
The statement called on the international community and the United Nations to enhance assistance to Syria through early recovery projects and through facilitating the return of Syrian refugees and displaced persons to their cities and towns.
The statement stated that the 20th International Meeting on Syria is due to be hold in the first half of 2023 and the next summit of the heads of the guarantor states in Russia.
