Syria, Brazil discuss enhancing cooperation on pharmaceutical industries

Damascus, SANA- Health Minister Hasan al-Ghabbash discussed Monday with Brazil’s Ambassador to Syria, Andre Santos, ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation in health domain.

Minister Ghabbash stressed the importance of coordination and expanding cooperation especially in the pharmaceutical industries field in which Brazil is so advanced, underlining that the ministry is interested in conducting training courses for health cadres along with transferring technology used in manufacturing medicines and exchanging expertise.

For his part, Ambassador Santos said that the meeting was an opportunity for discussing the possibility of cooperation in the domain of medicines and supplying them, in addition to the scientific and pharmaceutical researches as Brazil has several centers and facilities specialized in this area.
