Syrian –Omani talks on bolstering academic relations

Muscat, SANA- Ambassador of Syria to the Sultanate of Oman, Dr. Idris Maia discussed Sunday with the Rector of Sultan Qaboos University, Dr. Fahd Al Said, ways to enhance cooperation in the education field between the two countries.

Both sides discussed the possible cooperation mechanisms between Sultan Qaboos University and the Syrian universities, especially Damascus University.

Fahd Al Said affirmed the importance of developing the University bilateral cooperation in the science research domain, which concern the two brother countries.

The Sultan Qaboos University was founded in 1986 , and has almost 17 thousand students from different scientific disciplines.
