Quneitra Governor, ICRC discuss delivering aid to terrorism-affected families

Quneitra, SANA – Quneitra Governor Ahmad Sheikh Abdul-Qader met on Sunday with Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation to Syria Marian Gaser and the accompanied delegation to discuss the humanitarian situation in the province.

During the meeting, Abdul-Qader said the province needs a number of makeshift centers in addition to rehabilitation of sewage system networks and a number of ambulances to replace those that were destroyed by the armed terrorist groups.

Gaser said the activities of the ICRC during the crisis include delivering aid to displaced families in Syria, adding that the budget of the delegation was doubled in the year 2015 to meet the needs of affected families in coordination with the Syrian Arab red Crescent (SARC) and the Syrian government.

The two sides agreed on continuing cooperation and increasing the number of makeshift centers in the province.
