Tehran, SANA- Culture Minister, Lubana Mshaweh discussed Friday with head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization Mehdi Imanipour, ways to develop cultural relations between Syria and Iran.
Mshaweh pointed out the importance of developing cultural relations and broadening their horizons to rise to the level of political relations, expressing Ministry’s desire to cooperate with the Iranian side in the field of cinema through the possibility of benefiting from Iranian cinematic expertise in production, film industry and oriental music due to the great experience that Iranian cinema has in this field.
In turn, Imanipour affirmed the Iranian side’s readiness to boost cultural relations between the two countries at all levels, hold a Syrian cultural week in Iran, and establish Persian language courses in Syria.
The two sides agreed on the need to reconsider and develop the terms of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries in the cultural field.
They also exchanged views on the Iranian cultural week program due to be held in Damascus this month.
