Putin: Russia and Belarus will continue to strengthen strong alliance relations

Moscow, SANA-Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed the depth of relations between Russia and Belarus and the two countries’ keenness to develop strategic partnership and alliance relations in the interest of the two brotherly peoples.

President Putin’s remarks came in a congratulatory message to his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko on the independence day of the Republic of Belarus.

“Today, the citizens of Russia and Belarus maintain and continue to strengthen ties of friendship, alliance and mutual assistance, and by developing strategic partnership and alliance relations, the two countries overcome serious adversities and defend their interests on the world stage,” Putin was cited by Sputnik News Agency as saying.
