Syria, UN organizations sign the strategic framework document

Damascus, SANA-Syria and the UN organizations signed the strategic framework document for the years 2022 and 2024.

The document was signed by head of the Planning and International Cooperation Authority, Fadi Salti al- Khalil on the Syrian side and the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Syria, Imran Reda, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, and a number of representatives of the concerned authorities and the United Nations organizations operating in Syria.

Al-Khalil stressed the need for achieving coherence between the objectives of the national development program for post-war Syria, which constitutes the Syria 2030 National Development Strategy, and the objectives of the sustainable development plan set by the UN.

Al-Khalil pointed to the importance of continuing the relief work and providing humanitarian assistance, in addition to development work to achieve sustainable recovery.
