Baghdad, SANA- Syria and Iraq have discussed means of boosting relations in the domains of security and control of joint border.
That came during a meeting on Tuesday between Iraqi Defense Minister Juma Inad Saadoun and Syrian Ambassador to Iraq Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah.
“Talks during the meeting dealt with the bilateral relations in the military and security fields and the exchange of information between the two countries, and the prospects for developing them,” al-Dandah said in statement to SANA correspondent in Baghdad.
Al-Dandah added the two sides highlighted the significant field accomplishments achieved by the Syrian and Iraqi Arab armies in the war on terrorism and the great defeats they have inflicted on terrorist groups.
The Ambassador said that both sides put emphasize on the necessity of fortifying and controlling the joint border, preventing the infiltration of terrorists from and to Syria and Iraq, and continuing joint cooperation and exchanging information to eliminate the remnants of terrorist organizations.
