Moscow, SANA- President of the Russian Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov has announced that the Russian forces were able to control most of the city of Popasna in the Lugansk Republic and liberate the main streets and central areas.
The Russian RIA Novosti news agency quoted Kadyrov as saying on his Telegram channel that the Chechen special forces fighters managed to control most of the Popasna regions, and the main streets and central neighborhoods of the city were completely cleared, considering that such a result is inevitable and it is only a matter of time.
Kadyrov also expressed his confidence that all the tasks set by Russian President Vladimir Putin will be accomplished and their goals achieved.
Kadyrov announced, Saturday that the city of Popasna is besieged and that 80 percent of it is under the control of the Russian armed forces.
