Nebenzia: Israel’s settlement plans pose threat to regional stability

New York ,SANA- Russia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, stressed on Monday that the Israeli occupation entity’s settlement plans in the occupied Syrian Golan pose threat to regional stability.

Russia Today website quoted Nebenzia as saying, during a meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the situation in the Middle East and the developments of the Palestinian issue, that Israel’s settlement plans in the occupied Syrian Golan also undermine regional stability,
referring to the increasing level of violence by Israeli settlers against the Palestinians.

Nebenzia also expressed his country’s concern about the escalation of tension in occupied Jerusalem.

He said that Russia is closely following developments in the West Bank and Jerusalem, where the Israeli security forces used tear gas and rubber bullets against Palestinian demonstrators in the Jerusalem.
