A ceremony at Martyrs’ Daughters Schools on occasion of Russia’s victory over Nazism

Damascus, SANA- An artistic ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Martyrs’ Daughters Schools in Damascus, to express the strength of friendship and cooperation relations between Syria and the Russian Federation, and on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of Russia’s victory over Nazism.

The participants began the ceremony with observing a minute of silence in honor of the souls of our righteous martyrs, followed by the playing the national anthems of the two countries, and screening a documentary film on Syrian-Russian relations.

The school choir of the sons and daughters of the martyrs performed a group of patriotic Syrian and Russian songs. The students also performed a group of folk dance shows inspired by the Syrian and Russian heritage, in addition to reciting poetry.

In a speech, the director of the boarding schools for the children of the martyrs affirmed that this celebration expresses the depth of relations and great cooperation between the two friendly peoples, thanking the Russian Federation, which stood with Syria in its just causes in the face of aggression and global terrorism, in addition to its support for it in all fields.

Russian Ambassador in Damascus, Alexander Efimov, in a speech, praised the depth of the historical relations between the two friendly countries, people, army and leadership, and thanked the General Command of the Army and Armed Forces for organizing this ceremony, which reflects the solid relations between the two countries.

The choir presented a group of diverse songs on this occasion, then the celebration concluded with the national anthem of the Syrian Arab Republic.
