President al-Assad issues law that incriminates torture

Damascus, SANA-President Bashar al-Assad issued on Wednesday law No. 16 for 2022 that incriminates torture.

The law stipulates imprisonment to anyone that deliberately perpetrate torture, participate or provoke for the act.

The punishment may reach to capital sentence if the torture led to the death of a human being.
