Bratislava, SANA- Syrian students studying in Slovak universities and institutes have renewed their support for their country in confronting the terrorist and economic war to which it is exposed, stressing that the homeland will remain a beacon that enhances their determination, commitment and scientific excellence.
In a statement on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the Syrian Arab Student Day, the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students (NUSS) in Slovakia expressed pride and glory in the honorable student struggle that the founding leader Hafez al-Assad embodied through an institution that carries their hopes and aspirations and takes care of the issues of the students and the homeland.
The statement stressed the importance of the results of the first student conference, which formed the basis for the struggle of the Syrian student movement, as the students consider themselves soldiers who defend their homeland with science, research and excellence alongside the Syrian Arab soldiers who protect the homeland and the people.
The statement noted that the students also stood by the friendly Russian people in their rightful battle to defend the Donbass population, eradicate Nazism and fanaticism from Ukraine, and protect Russian national security from the threat of NATO expansion.
