Social Affairs Directorate continues providing aid to displaced families in Hasaka

Hasaka, SANA- The Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Hasaka has continued to provide aid to the families who had been displaced from Abu Resin township as a result of the repeated Turkish aggression on the area.

The Directorate provided aid to about 1,500 displaced families from the villages of al-Assadyieh, Harmala Sharqiyeh, Dada Abdel, Matmoura, Harmala Janoubiyeh and Arab Khan to the village of Shur Sharqi, in addition to 1,900 hosting families from the local community in Tal Tamir town and the cities of Hasaka and Qamishli after the QSD militia rejected to open the shelter centers for displaced families, Head of the Directorate Ibrahim Khalaf told SANA.

Khalaf added that the directorate, in cooperation with the branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the International Committee of the Red Cross, has provided relief aid to the families who had been displaced as a result of the Turkish aggression, stressing that the provision of aid continues by the volunteers of the Red Crescent branch.

In the same context, Ali Mansour, Head of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent’s branch in Hasaka, stated that distribution operations are continuing to include all displaced families and their host family, as food baskets, household tools, blankets, solar chargers and containers for saving drinking water were provided, with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

He pointed out that aid will continue to be provided to the affected families in the countryside far from the areas of the attacks.

The areas of Abu Rasen and Tal Tamir in the northern and northwestern countryside of Hasaka are attacked almost daily by the Turkish occupation forces and their terrorists, which leads to the death of civilians, the wounding of others, and the displacement of people from their homes.
