Damascus, SANA- With the participation of Syria, activities of the 22nd session of the Transport and Logistics’ Committee of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) resumed on Tuesday. the session was kicked off yesterday.
The 2-day meeting debates revolve around transport sector and logistics in the member states and the impacts of COVID-19 on the Road and Belt Initiative in addition to issues related to traffic safety.
Head of the Syrian delegation, Deputy Minister of Transport, Ammar Kamal El-Din, stressed the importance of joint Arab action for the success of any of ESCWA programs, calling on the committee to exert efforts with the aim of lifting the unjust coercive unilateral sanctions against Syria.
