Beijing, SANA- Syria is participating in the activities of China International Import Expo in Shanghai for the 4th time amid big turnout from the Chinese visitors to the Syrian pavilion.
“Syria has been participating in the exhibition since it was launched kicked in 2018, as participation was limited to a small pavilion and then it extended year after year until to become three large pavilions this year” official in charge of the economic department at Syrian Embassy in Beijing, Ziad Zaitoun, said in an interview with SANA correspondent in Beijing.
Zaitoun added that the Syrian pavilions witnessed large turnout and visitors for Chinese officials, including the exhibition director who hailed the distinguished performance of the Syrian pavilion and its exhibits.
He indicated that the Syrian pavilions were categorized in the second place for foreign exhibits in China, and they include about ten companies, most of which fall into the manufacture of laurel soap, olive oil, traditional Syrian fabrics, traditional wood industries, mosaic, in addition to cosmetics.
China International Import Expo, which started last Friday, will last until the tenth of October with the participation of about 3,000 companies from 127 countries.
