“Journalism of solutions,” a workshop for Information Ministry

Damascus, SANA- Information Ministry and the Syrian Virtual University launched on Monday a workshop about “journalism of Societal solutions” entitled “Towards a digital media to spread a positive culture” which lasts for three days at the Life-long Learning Center.

The workshop aims to adopt solutions with digital pattern as a strategic option to enhance the culture of self-reliance and focus on solutions instead of going deeper in problems and obstacles, raising the level of the positive relationship between digital journalism and public opinion.

It also aims to support successful digital media stories which are close to the concept of “journalism of solutions” and address the media gap facing journalists when moving to digital press.

During the first session of the workshop, debates concentrated on the additional value media has to provide through solutions that come from the community and people in addition to the importance of training courses for journalists.
