Damascus, SANA- The Health Ministry announced on Tuesday evening that 235 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Syria, adding that 62 other cases recovered while 10 passed away.
In a statement, the Ministry noted that the total number of the coronavirus cases registered in Syria has reached up to 31,148 till now, of which 23,155 have recovered while 2,146 others have passed away.
The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria on March 22nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first death from the virus was reported on the 29th of the same month.
