He stressed that dialogue among the Syrians is the only solution for the crisis in Syria.
Ala appreciated the Pope’s role and prayers for peace to prevail in Syria, lauding his rejection of the foreign interference and threats against Syria.

He asserted that combating terrorism necessitates collaborating all regional and international efforts to oblige the countries sponsoring terrorism to abide by the UN Security Council’s relevant resolutions, particularly Nos. 2170 and 2178.
Ambassador Ala stressed that the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab army in facing the armed terrorist groups and the success of the national reconciliations’ efforts contribute to restoring stability to many areas and creating an appropriate atmosphere to launch a national dialogue among the Syrians that fulfill the aspirations of the Syrian people away from foreign interferences and agendas.
