Tehran, SANA- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has affirmed that his country is in constant contact with Syria with regard to the security and the lasting development in the region.
Abdollahian said in a statement before leaving Iran for Iraq to participate in the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, which begins on Saturday, “We will consult directly with Damascus on this conference, and we will emphasize the important role of countries of the region regarding any regional initiative.”
Abdollahian stressed that Tehran welcomes any regional initiative submitted by Iraqi officials in which the countries of the region participate.
