Al-Jaafari: Civil initiatives contribute to alleviating economic pressure imposed on Syrian citizens due to coercive measures

Damascus, SANA- Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari stressed that the importance of the civil volunteer initiatives in alleviating the economic pressure that the Syrian citizen is suffering from due to the coercive measures imposed by the western countries.

During his meeting with a Syrian-Russian Peace Initiative delegation, al-Jaafari pointed out the importance of the assistance provided by the Russian friends to the Syrian people as well as the importance of the initiative in all domains.

He indicated the need of achieving integration among the national initiatives and the assistance provided by Syria-friendly states of in order to achieve the greatest possible benefit for the Syrian people and their steadfastness in the face of pressure and siege.

For their part, members of the delegation made a presentation on the activities of the initiative, whose work was launched in 2018, with the aim of easing the economic suffering of the Syrian people and providing services to the needy, including humanitarian and medical assistance then expanding their work to include the social development projects.
