A number of displaced Syrians’ tents burnt in two camps, northern Lebanon

Beirut, SANA- A fire broke out in one of the camps of the displaced Syrians on the outskirts of Bebnine town in Akkar district, north Lebanon, this morning.

The Lebanese National News Agency stated that the fire brigades worked to put out the fire that destroyed 3 tents, displaced their residents and destroyed their belongings and supplies.

A similar fire also broke out in one of the camps of the displaced Syrians in al-Hamra town, where two tents were engulfed by fire, while the Civil Defense personnel took control of the fire and limited its spread.

Incidents of fire outbreaks in the camps of displaced Syrians in Lebanon are repeated due to the lack of safety and security conditions in these camps, and sometimes fires are set intentionally, as happened on last December, when a number of Lebanese people set fire to a camp for displaced Syrians that includes about 100 tents in al-Miniyeh town, Akkar district which led to the displacement of hundreds of their tents.
