Damascus, SANA- Deputy Foreign and Expatriates’ Minister, Bashar al-Jaafari, received on Tuesday, Director of the Center for Middle East Studies at the Research Institute for International Economics and Relations, Irina Zvyageskaya, and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed means of establishing and developing relations between the Russian Institute and the centers and institutes of intellectual and political research and studies in Syria to exchange dialogue and reach a common understanding of the situation in addition to the importance of deepening the understanding of regional issues and predicting short and medium-term solutions.
Al-Jaafari expressed the Ministry’s readiness to deepen cooperation in the framework of exchanging experiences between Syrian researchers, experts and Russian researchers, stressing the importance of benefiting from the Russian experience in the field of research and predicting short and long-term solutions because this is an essential part of political work and not just as “a cultural luxury.”
He stressed that Syria highly appreciates Russia’s leadership and people, for helping Syria fight international terrorism to preserve the state sovereignty and serve international peace and security in cooperation with honest allies from the world in a way that encourages resisting one polar policies.
