Temperatures to rise, showers expected in southern region

Damascus, SANA-Temperatures will continue to rise to become around average or slightly below as the country is affected by a superficial high air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of atmosphere.

 Meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general with a little opportunity for showers in the southern region, warning of frost and ice over the mountains, and in parts of the northern and al-Jazeera regions, and fog in al-Qalamoun and the inland and al-Ghouta regions.

The wind will be of changeable direction to easterly with a low speed, and the sea waves will be low in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus,12/4, Daraa 13/4, Homs 14/4, Hasaka 12/0, Tartous 16/9, Aleppo 11/0, Deir Ezzor12/3.
