Temperatures above average, showers expected over coastal regions

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will remain from 2 to 5 degrees above average as the country is affected by a superficial high air pressure accompanied by southwesterly air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in general, and there will be a chance for thundershowers over the coastal region.

The wind will be southeasterly with a moderate speed and strong gusts with dusty conditions in the eastern, and al-Jazeera regions, while the wind will be southwesterly with a low to medium speed and it will become active in the evening, while the sea waves will be low to medium in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 15/5, Daraa18/7, Homs 15/5, Hasaka 14/5, Tartous 21/14, Aleppo 13/3, Deir Ezzor 16/5.
