Syria participates in Lebanon International Judo Championship

Damascus, SANA- The Syrian national team for Judo will participate in Lebanon International Judo Championship to be held today with the participation of Jordan, Iraq, Cyprus and Lebanon.

Chairman of Judo Union Ridwan Z’aouqi told SANA that the championship will be very important for the players of the national team as they will gain more experience, and they will benefit from it in the coming competitions such as in Rio de Janeiro Olympiad to be held in 2016.

Z’aouqi indicated that five players out of seven will participate in youth category in the framework of the union’s plan which focuses on youths to build a national team that will be able to participate in international championships in the future.
