Syria wins 2nd place in Arab Football Academies Championship in Cairo

Cairo, Sana- The Syrian team won the second position in the Arab Countries Academies Football Championship, which was kicked off last Thursday in the Egyptian capital of Cairo.

Egyptian team beat its Syrian counterpart 2-0, in the final match to be ranked first while the Syrian team is ranked second.

Technical director of the Syrian Team, Coach Captain Anas Al-Hosari won the best coach in the tournament, the Syrian player Mustafa Anas Al-Hosari won the title of Top goalscorers in the tournament, in addition to his selection along with the team’s players Majd al-Zaim and Ibrahim Harar as members of the Arab team under 12.

In a statement to SANA’s reporter in Cairo, the technical director of the Syrian team affirmed that ranking second was due to the exerted effort and training by all members of the team.

Syria participated with a team consisted of 13 players and 3 technicians in the tournament, which also encompassed teams of Yemen, Libya, Egypt and South Sudan.
