Damascus, SANA-Temperatures will slightly drop to become below average as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied with cold and wet air mass.
Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy in most areas, heavy rainfalls and accompanied sometimes with thunder is expected on the northwestern and coastal region. The Department warned against the formation of floods in these areas.
The wind will be southwesterly of moderate to active in speed and the sea waves will be moderate to high in amplitude.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 19/12, Daraa20/12, Homs 19/12, Hasaka 25/14, Idleb 18/12 and Tartous 22/15.
Rainfalls prevailed the country during the past 42 hours with varying amounts of rains, the heaviest of which were in the coastal province of Lattakia with 40mm.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform rain bulletin the biggest amounts of rainfall reached to 40mm in al-Bahlouliyeh in Lattakia
The rain bulletin said that the rain amounts in the Syrian provinces were as follows: Damascus Countryside 5mm, Homs 21mm, Hama 34mm, Tartous 31mm, Aleppo 15mm and Raqqa 1mm.
