Ballou dance troupe elegantly incorporates classical and contemporary ballet dance

Homs, SANA- More than 40 boys and girls from the Ballou dance troupe for classical and contemporary ballet dance have recently participated in many cultural events in Homs province by performing dancing shows which have received a great applause by the audience.

Elissar Nasta, the troupe’s coach, told SANA that the troupe was established in 2013 in the town of Qattina in Homs countryside and its members are between the ages of 3 to 15 years old.

Elissar noted that what distinguishes the band is its specialization in classical and contemporary ballet dance as it works to incorporate classical and contemporary music, which is not incompatible with the well-known ballet dance, but it complements this type of ballet.

According to Elissar, the children show a clear and beautiful interaction through the performance of the exercises and through their desire to show their talent and enthusiasm for performing various types of movements and dances.

Ballerinas Hala Attia and Naya Maqdisi, stated that ballet dance gives them flexibility and agility and it helps relieve tension and stress.

Ballou ballet troupe is currently training to perform a number of dancing shows at Homs Cultural Center during the next month.
