Paris, SANA- French Minister for European Affairs, Clement Beaune called on the European Union to take firm stances towards Turkey.
Reuters quoted Bion as saying that “In the short-term there must be signals of resolve. We will see if there are sanctions.”
EU leaders are set to meet in Brussels on Thursday for two days of discussions notably on tensions in the Eastern Mediterranean and relations with Turkey.
On the 30th of last August, France held the Turkish regime responsible for the current escalation and tension in the eastern Mediterranean due to its provocative practices.
Meanwhile, Last July, France suspended its participation in a NATO naval operation in the Mediterranean, following its dispute with Turkey after a recent Turkish vessel refused to undergo an inspection by the French Navy in the Mediterranean.
