Initiative of “Hand by hand… We protect our medical staff” supports medical cadres in the face of the Corona virus

Damascus, SANA- Extensive voluntary efforts exerted by the civil society in Syria to support government measures taken to limit the spread of the Coronavirus, efforts that were carried out this time for the medical community as part of a specialized campaign launched by the Businesswomen’s Committee in Damascus Chamber of Commerce in solidarity with the medical personnel as a frontline in facing the pandemic.

Chairwoman of the committee, Sonia Khanji said that the campaign, which was launched under the title “ Hand by hand.. we protect our medical staff,” targets the medical personnel who works in the hospitals of Al-Assad University, al-Mouwasat, al-Mujtahid, Ibn Al-Nafees, the Red Crescent, al-Zabadani and Qatana.

In her speech to SANA Youth bulletin, Khanji added that the campaign includes providing protection and sterilization materials to contribute to protecting medical personnel from the risks of the virus infection, especially in hospitals that receive and offer care for corona patients.

In turn, the General Director of Damascus Hospital (Al-Mujtahid) Dr. Samer Khoudre, stated that a group of aids was received from the Businesswomen’s Committee during their campaign that includes self-protection methods to ensure the level of protection of medical personnel working within the Coronavirus response team in its various departments.
