Tehran, SANA – The Syrian Cultural Center in Tehran organised a lecture on Sunday under the title of “Translation is a cultural bridge between Arabic and Persian literatures”.
Researcher and translator Samer Ahmad from Syria considered that culture and literature are the mirror of history to each nation, as literature carries the concepts of amity, understanding and convergence among nations, adding that translation is a means for making these nations closer.
He added that relations between the Arabic and Persian literatures are deeply-rooted, adding that they reached the peak in the fourth century AH.
For his part, head of the Syrian Cultural Center in Tehran, Tareq Nasser al-Qaimin, stressed the importance of increasing efforts for translating the Arabic literature, particularly the Syrian, from different literary genres to the Persian so that it would be easy-to-reach.
