Closing a number of main squares in Aleppo to address coronavirus outbreak

Aleppo, SANA- Aleppo Governorate on Sunday issued a decision on closing Saadallah al-Jabiri Square and the surroundings of Aleppo Citadel, al-Iza’a corniche and a number of public squares in the framework of the measures taken for addressing the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in order to preserve the public safety of the citizens.

In this framework, the Governorate also tasked Head of the Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Directorate at Aleppo City Council and the committees formed by the governorate to supervise the markets, restaurants and food shops and taking tight punitive measures against those who violate the health measures.

The decisions also included other preventive measures such as obliging the workers at the restaurants to wear masks and gloves, and to get rid of the garbage of the restaurants daily and to make the required disinfection after finishing the work on a daily basis.

The taken decisions also included activating the role of the popular committees and the police offices to organize the selling process at the bread facilities and the selling halls at the Syrian Trades.

They affirmed the necessity of taking tight measures against the tourist facilities which don’t abide bide the disinfection measures and the health conditions which are related to confronting the coronavirus.
