Thursday weather: Temperatures to drop, showers expected

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to drop to become around average in most areas as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure coming from the southeast and accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy and there will be a weak opportunity of showers on the coastal and the northwestern regions in the afternoon and in the evening.

The wind will be westerly with a low to moderate speed with active gusts sometimes whose speed will exceed 70 km and they will be accompanied with dusty conditions while the sea waves will be low to medium in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 32/14, Daraa 31/16, Homs 27/14, Lattakia 25/17, Aleppo 32/17 and Deir Ezzor 37/27.
