Al-Sabbagh: Arab Nation should enhance resistance to foil schemes targeting its central issues, mainly Palestinian Cause

Amman, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hammoudeh Sabbagh stressed that the so-called the “Deal of the Century” which has been recently announced by the US President Donald Trump proved again the firm alliance between Washington and the Israeli occupation entity, and their vehement hostility for the Arab Nation, calling on the Arab Nation to enhance resistance in order to foil the schemes that target its central issues, on top, the Palestinian cause.

In his speech at the 30th emergency meeting of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) which started its deliberations on Saturday in the Jordanian capital of Amman, Sabbagh said that the so-called the “Deal of the Century” represents part of the continued attempts of the successive US administrations and the Israeli occupation entity to liquidate the Palestinian Cause and to pave the way for carrying out the so-called the “Great or the New Middle East”.

The Speaker stressed the need for an active Arab position to confront the US-Israeli transgressions against Arab rights which threaten the present and future of the Arab nation, underlining the importance of supporting international resolutions on ending the Israeli occupation of Arab lands and guaranteeing the rights of the Palestinian people.

He noted that throughout the history of the Palestinian cause, resistance has been the most successful option, calling on the Arab nation to support this option, noting that Syria’s experience in battling terrorism and forces of aggression also proves the efficacy of resistance as an option.

Sabbagh said that Syria’s commitment to the Palestinian issue is the reason behind all the wars waged against it, affirming that Syria always affirmed that Palestine is the central cause.
